The Millie is a picturesque, detached three storey two hundred year old stone cottage nestled by the old Pictish settlement of Burghead overlooking the beautiful bay and the Moray Firth beyond. It’s a fabulous place to gather in the summer in the garden around the bbq or indeed for a winter break cozied up by the fire with a Speyside dram!

Recharging and Unwinding
The Millie comfortably sleeps eight, with four beautiful rooms. On the top floor there are two bedrooms with king sized beds and a wee snug to rest and read a book in between. The large bay windows are the perfect place to kick back and enjoy a cuppa whilst looking out to the bay and harbour beyond. The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor – one double and one twin. There are no en-suites at The Millie due to the traditional layout of the property but there is a roll top bath on the middle floor with a sauna for two – perfect after a swim in the sea! On the ground floor, a large shower and Jacuzzi bath awaits for soaking in after a day at the beach!
Gathering and Feasting
The Millie is perfect for family gatherings or getting together with friends. The kitchen has a large table at its centre and is the perfect place to enjoy food together. Look out for langoustine from fisherman at the harbour! The oven is large and can easily cater for large roasts for feasting with friends.
On warm sunny days enjoy alfresco dining at the picnic table on the deck whilst the kids play in the garden below.
The Garden & Outdoors
The Millie garden is a private enclosed walled garden with decking and a grassy area too. There is a summer house to hang out in which is great when the evenings get cooler.
The Millie is only a two minute walk from the beach which is perfect for a wee ‘dook’ as we say in Burghead and then home for a sauna to warm up!
